Vincent Amicosante of Wellfleet will give a PowerPoint presentation on “Magic Realism,” a style that depicts magical or fantastical characters or occurrences in a manner of great clarity and realism. He’ll show the evolution of his own dazzlingly imaginative work within that framework, including the recent series he calls his “erotic fruit.” In these works, he pairs female nudes or amorous couples in relation to oversized persimmons, peaches, figs, apples and other fruits.
