8th Annual Multicultural Festival of Cape Cod

Date(s):03/01/2008
Time:10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Host:Cape Cod Community College

This outstanding regional event brings together over 300 performers, exhibitors, and volunteers to showcase and celebrate the diverse cultures represented on Cape Cod. As many as 3,000 people annually attend the day-long event that takes place at multiple venues on campus, and admission is always free. It is a fantastic way to “travel the world” without leaving your own backyard!
The Festival begins with a "Parade of Flags" in the CCCC Tilden Arts Center, as approximately fifty countries are showcased. Throughout the day, lively performances of music, dance, and storytelling (including bi-lingual storytelling) take place in the Tilden Arts Center, and short performances are given at other locations around the Festival.
Ethnic, cultural, and country booths and displays provide information and samples of crafts on the ground-floor level of the Grossman Commons Building. For those looking for unique gifts and souvenirs, the International Bazaar will be open on the second floor in the Upper Commons. Also in this area will be Cape-based Organizations with particular ties to the region’s multicultural communities. International food vendors will offer ethnic cuisines in The Café, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
